Welcome to “Taste Matters” at From A Chef’s Kitchen where I dish up some tasty tidbits, a kitchen tip or two, my current cookbook crush, some menu ideas from some of my food blogger friends to get you through your week, a weekend entertaining menu, recipe roundups and perhaps even speak my mind!
There aren’t many things that grow where we live. Clay soil, insects, heat and squirrels are a garden’s worst enemy.
However, chili peppers always do well for us. Right now we have an abundance of habanero, jalapeno and ancho chiles. We also grow Tabasco pepper plants with great success but don’t need to plant them every year because a few go a long way! There truly is nothing like homemade Tabasco sauce. My husband has been adding his own flair and smoking the Tabasco peppers first.
There’s never a shortage of ways to spice up your food around our house! With that, let’s roll with this week’s spicy inspiration! (There’s plenty of tame inspiration too!)
