Prepare
Spread the Hatch green chiles out on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet.
Broil
Broil 6-8 minutes or until blackened. Flip over with tongs. Return to the oven and broil 5-7 minutes on the second side until blackened.

Cover and Rest
Immediately place a baking sheet of the same size over the chiles and let rest for about 15-20 minutes.
Chop and Freeze
Peel and seed the chiles. Chop and place into snack-size zipper-top bags and freeze.
