Globe Artichokes, Water, Lemons, Unsalted Butter, Garlic, Parsley, Salt
– Fill a large bowl with approximately 2 quarts of water or enough to cover the artichokes when immersed. You will need to immerse the artichokes after each cut to prevent browning. – Add the lemon juice.
Trim the stem end from the artichokes to sit flat on the rack in the Instant Pot. Then soak in lemon water.
Using kitchen shears, trim the tips of the remaining leaves to remove the sharp thorns. Immerse back in the lemon water.
- 1 cup of liquid (either the lemon juice or water) into the bottom of the Instant Pot. - Add Lemon and Garlic - Add Steaming Rack before placing the artichokes in after they have been drained of excess water. - Cook on Manual High Pressure for 20 minutes, then Quick Release.
Melt the butter with garlic in the microwave, once it's melted, add salt to taste and parsley
The artichokes are done when you can easily remove a leaf with tongs. Serve with the garlic butter and Enjoy!
